CATHOLIC RADIO ON THE AIR IN NEW ORLEANS and HOUMA-THIBODAUX DIOCESE!!!
Well, we hit the news this week and it's official: our small Catholic Community Radio station has signed a Purchase Agreement to buy the "Mighty 690 AM" radio station in New Orleans. YES! This was the old WTIX so many in the country grew up with, known once as "the grandaddy of top 40", now broadcasting as WIST. It also comes with an FM translater on 104.9 FM.
The AM signal reaches all the way into Mississippi, Alabama, covers the entire N.O. and Houma-Thibodeaux dioceses, and boy, are Archbishop Aymond and Bishop Jacobs excited about this, as are we. 3 of the 4 towers were destroyed during Katrina and plans are to rebuild the remaining tower (which actually sounds great already) as soon as enough funds are raised. The Holy Spirit is thus rising from the flood.
Spread the news - donations needed!

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE

SPIRITUAL WARFARE AND DELIVERANCE CLASSES
The 2013 Spring Session is as follows:
Thursday, April 25, 2013

(Unless otherwise noted, all class times will be from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm)
Presenter is Rev. Robert-Joel Cruz
Fr. Mike Scanlan, T.O.R. and Randall Cirner said:
"Christans are caught up in a struggle between God and Satan.  Satan is a ruthless and resourceful enemy and our implacable foe because we are citizens of God's Kingdom.  Evil spiritual forces are at the root of many temptations, failure and difficulties we encounter in our lives."
Yes, we are in this struggle whether we are aware of it or not...the Spiritual Warfare!
WE must fight back with the love of God and the help of Mama Mary, Archangels Michael, Gabriele and Raphael, the saints and angels.
"No amount of deliverence can replace the central need in a person's life to accept the Lordship of Jesus and to live out the reality of the commitment in concrete terms.  Deliverence is a gift that helps men and women to live in an effective and aggresive Christian life. Getting freed from evil spirits is not an end in itself, but is a means to an end.  The end is a union with God, life with brothers and sisters, and preaching the Gospel."
If interested in attenting these sessions, the Rev. Robert-Joel Cruz.

SERVANTS OF CHRIST PRAYER MEETING
St. Joseph the Worker Church
Pierre Part, LA
SERVANTS OF CHRIST is a charismatic lay apostolate prayer group.
(Lay apostles of Jesus Christ the Returning King: charismatic meaning open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives).
The prayer group meet every Wednesday in the RE Building @ 7:00pm for praise and worship, individual prayer, talks & teachings. The Lay Apostles of Jesus Christ the Returning King seek to be united to Jesus in our daily work, and through our vocations, in order to obtain graces for the conversion of sinners. Through our cooperation with the Holy Spirit, we will allow Jesus to flow through us to the world, bringing His light. We do this in union with Mary, our Blessed Mother, with the Communion of Saints, with all of God’s holy angels, and with our fellow lay apostles in the world.
As Lay Apostles of Jesus Christ the Returning King, we agree to perform our basic obligations as practicing Catholics. Additionally, we will adopt the following spiritual practices, as best we can:
1. Allegiance Prayer and Morning Offering, plus a brief prayer for the Holy Father.
2. Eucharistic Adoration - one hour per week.
3. Prayer Group Participation, monthly, at which we pray the Luminous Mysteries of the Holy Rosary and read the Monthly Message given by Jesus to Anne the Lay Apostle.
4. Monthly Confession
5. Further, we will follow the example of Jesus Christ as set out in the Holy Scripture, treating all others with His patience and kind
Please join us for our prayer meetings!!!
